I love parks

Parks are a life-line. I think God gave them to us as a sure-fire way to solve a multitude of problems: boredom, whining, fighting, cabin fever, energy needing to be burned off, need for fresh air. (And I'm not only talking about the kids!)

Our new neighborhood is beautiful. A little out into the country, and lots of open spaces. Our closest park is a few blocks away, and we all LOVE it. Geese to feed or just watch, trails to walk on, big pond, bugs, playground... what more could you ask for if you are a kid? And for Glen and I, a place to play with the kids, but also trails to follow. It's become an important part of our evening/ weekend runs... a beautiful bit of scenery and some training hills too!

Exploring trails,
trying out swings,
searching for bugs,
or watching the geese.

Parks never fail to work for us. We return home happy, refreshed, thankful for where we live, and grateful for the days God gives us to enjoy his beautiful world.
